Our chapter 2020 Block Kids winners |
We strive to support our community. Our chapter has helped Habitat for Humanity, Advocacy Center, Talitha Koum, GWAMA's Robotics program, and several other local programs. We are always looking for ways to give back to our community and to help others.
2020 block kids was held January 25, 2020 at the Central Texas Chapter AGC, 4500 West Waco Drive, Waco, TX. The first place winner was Rowan Westbrook (back right), who created a lighthouse and boat, Ryan Westbrook (back left and 2nd place winner), Ancension Zapata (front left and 3rd place winner) and Westley Milam (front right and honorable mention winner). Our annual Block Kids Construction Contest is held in January each year at the Central Texas Chapter AGC, 4500 West Waco Drive, Waco, TX . It is for boys and girls in 1st through 6th grade. This program was developed to introduce children to the construction industry and promote creative expression.
First place winner receives $75 cash, ribbon and hard hat. Second place winner wins $50 cash, ribbon and hard hat. Third place winner wins $25 cash, ribbon and hard hat.
